MY PLAYPEN
by Mala Farmer

There is a special place I go,
and all its wonders there I know.
It's shaped a little like a square.
Won't you come and join me there?

This is my kingdom, my domain,
where I alone supremely reign.
And nothing from outside these walls
can ever bother me at all.

My stuffed lion guards my castle,
so no one there will give me hassle.
And mobile birds up in the air
protect me from all dangers there.

Pooh and Piglet are quite able
to be the Knights of my Round Table.
But Mickey is my right-hand man.
He helps me out as just he can.

Elmo is my best Court Jester
'cause he likes to laugh and pester.
And Silver is my stallion there
with pole for back and mop for hair.

The grown-ups think they are quite clever,
that I won't leave my castle, ever!
But I know they don't have a clue.
I'll scale these walls before I'm two!
